“Anotek has always had a policy of investing in both the training of its personnel and in its plant and equipment.

Over the last four years, over £1.5 million has been ploughed into major plant and equipment alone, utilising Glasgow Caledonian University and other bodies to carry out feasibility studies and the scour the globe, searching for equipment manufacturers able to meet its demanding specifications.

Consequently, new equipment has been bought from as far apart as Germany, Italy and the US. The effort has, however, been worthwhile as the firm now has some of the most exacting standards in the industry.

The range of products on offer is larger than ever before, due partly to the long term relationships the firm develops with its suppliers, 95 per cent of whom are ISO9002 accredited.”

“Flying High: Anotek in Ayrshire is gaining a considerable reputation, and work, from some of the world's biggest names in aviation.”

“The job of piloting the world's passenger airlines and of flying military jets will become safer and easier in the future, thanks to the development of a new cockpit instrument panel overlay by Anotek, a small family-run screenprinting company in Kilwinning, Ayrshire.

Already the panels are on order by Airbus Industrie, BAe Systems, and GKN Westland. They are also being considered by Boeing and have been approved by both Ministry of Defence and the US Federal Aviation Agency. T

The great benefit of the panels, developed by Donald and Callum Dalgoutte, joint managing directors of Anotek, is that they do not scratch and are fireproof.”
